Making Future Narrative

THURSDAY 2 JUNE, 6 - 8.30PM
Lincoln Performing Arts Centre (LPAC), Lincoln

ARTISTS TALK & PANEL DISCUSSION:
Blast Theory / Rachel Coldicutt

Here at Broadway we’re all really excited to invite you along to our first ‘Making Future Work’ Digital Innovation event.

We welcome you to share in the research and debate with a wider artistic and creative community in the East Midlands and we’re delighted to be hosted by LPAC, Lincoln for our first event Making Future Narrative

HOW DO YOU CREATE A NEW NARRATIVE IN THE 21ST CENTURY?

Experimenting with new platforms and remix culture, questions are being asked about traditional linear forms of storytelling.  The rise of participatory culture has empowered the audience who can now slice between the live and recorded on the move.

Brendan Oliver & Brendan Randall and Hetain Patel & Barret Hodgson
will present their commissioned research alongside artistic presentations from
Blast Theory
and Rachel Coldicutt.

This will be followed by an open and informal panel discussion on the discussed themes.

Making Future Work (MFW) is a new and exciting initiative led by Broadway in Nottingham. The programme is a catalyst for ideas and pilot for further digital innovation projects in the region.  MFW seeks to explore how digital media technologies are affecting the creation, distribution and consumption of the arts.
